We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.

1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC2112 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.

2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.

3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!

4) Please leave a direct link to your entry in the comments below. The linking tool works sporadically and we don't want to miss your project! (No back-linking please.)

Squigglefly Challenge #20, SFC2012 Use a Square Peg in a Round Hole!

Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Are you ready for this week's challenge? Well, first let me announce the winner of last week's challenge.  The requirements for last week were to use a sentiment as the main focus on your card. There were many wonderful entries.  The winner of the challenge was Shirley Qu! Her card was a beatiful use of a sentiment by artist Chesney Young called Friendship is a Promise.  Be sure to take a look at her card on her blog My Pinkie is Inkie  Great work!

Please contact Holly at usyungs@gmail.com, for your prize.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, on to this week's challenge, SFC2012 Use a Square Peg in a Round Hole!

Think OUTSIDE the box!  Let me explain this Challenge:  we always seem to use standard things--round buttons, straight ribbons, rectangular 1/4 size cards,.... Instead: make a card that uses something usual: Pick a different card shape OR find some weird buttons OR use that unusual paper....pick out a different odd embellishment OR even better, use something you would never think goes on a card and inspire us all!

Stuck for ideas?  well, I was just in a Dollar store the other day, here's what I saw: mini umbrellas, fishnet, shells, all sorts of embellishments for cakes, all sorts of mini graduation embellishments, things made for jewelry that would be fun on cards, wiring, charms, all sorts of things that could be decorated with images, now check out these samples to inspire you from the Holley Hobbyiests.

Pat Martin made an adorable card and she was thinking outside the box.  She incorporated a wine bottle logo into her card.  Her photo below shows the card and the bottle.  Too cute!  I love the name of this stamp, it's called Shady Lady by artist Chesney Young.

Theresa Gerber made this beautiful card using a great image called Bed of Flowers by artist Fawn Palmer.  This image comes with the saying here plus two other sayings!  I can just image that lady head first in the flowers with a REAL ladybug or two!

Shawna Sealander made an amazing three dimensional floral card.  WOW, talk about outside the box.  She is using a wonderful celebration stamp called "You Did It" inside.  Here's two photos so you can see her card from the front and the inside.  This stamp is from artist Jess Holland  and comes with another saying "You are Amazing" for just .99!

Charlene Mitchell made a wonderful card using Gemma Mortlock's design called Autumn Wind.  She created her own word art for this beautiful card!

Tammy Hair designed her whole card around the image!  How clever is that?  She printed out her card in a large format and folder and cut her image to create the card shape.  What a fun idea!  I just love how she stamped to create the lamb's wool on Sherman from artist Diane Garrison.

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog)  am using a great image that was released last week from artist Fawn Palmer called Birthday Mermaid.  I got some fun shells and and sand (which I might add my dear husband picked up for me right outside) then added some adorable toothpick embellishments.  Life is Sweet so let's Eat Cake!!

I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card this week! Now run out and find some fun embellishments, pick out some new shape or size, or just think up something totally different this week and show it to us!  We can't wait to see it.

We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! Squigglefly Challenge #18, SFC1812 Use Stickles

Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Are you ready for this week's challenge? Well, first let me announce the winner of last week's challenge.  The requirements for last week were to use pink and blue on your card.

We had some great entries, the winner of the challenge was Melissa of Melissa's Thoughts on Paper.  She used an adorable image from artist Fawn Palmer called Beautiful Bather.  Ahh, that card makes me want to take a hot bath.  The saying she used also comes with the Beautiful Bather stamp.  Great work!

Please contact Holly at usyungs@gmail.com, for your prize.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, on to this week's challenge, SFC1812 Stickle it Up!

This week the challenge is to use Stickles (or any other form or glitter glue) somewhere on your project. As always, we would love for you to include a wonderful image from Squigglefly; to win a prize you must do so, but it is not required to participate.

Now, Let's start out with some fun samples to inspire you this week from the Holley Hobbyists.

Pat Martin made a stunning glittery card using one of the May specials!  If you are one of the subscribers who is getting a stamp everyday in May, then here's a wonderful sample for you to use with a stamp you got this week.  Check out the shimmer on artist Daphne van der Zanden's image called Fairy Ring:

Theresa Gerber made this amazing altered box project using Moondance from artist Diana Garison.  Wouldn't this project make a stunning mother's day gift?

Shawna Sealander made a beautiful card using Fairy Ring, only she modified it slightly here.  Isn't her card stunning?  I love how the image sticks out above the top of the project.  She added beautiful stickles to the wings.

Charlene Mitchell created a beautiful card using a fun stamp called Little Miss Sunshine from artist Diane Garrison.  The saying comes from artist Jess Holland, it's included with another saying "You did it!" for just 99 cents!

Tammy Hair made a adorable card using This little piggy had Chardonnay from artist Suzanne Urban. Well, if I was going to blow a house down, I best pick the piggy who is going to serve me some Chardonnay.  How delightful!

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog)  am using an adorable image from Squigglefly artist Chesney Young called Badonkadonk.  I also added a great saying from the same artist, it's only .99 at the Squigglefly store "I don't need your attitude - I've got my own!"

I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card this week! We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries.
